Bookcrossing goodies

Funny thing about this box of books--they were shipped from Stroudsburg, PA by someone who had no idea of my connection to the area. I did not even ask for the books!
They are to be a part of our massive release in May at the Hawaii Books and Music Festival. A dear friend of mine put out a call for books and I offered to receive a few of the boxes. This was completely out of the blue for me, and made me so happy.

Baby birds
Wendall and his friends spotted a bird's nest in a fallen branch at the park. They ran home to get me, hoping I could help. We decided to move the nest to a protected spot in the crook of the same tree. Now the boys are very proud of themselves. We will check on the babies tomorrow.

Quilting project
I am *this* close to finishing the last project, so of course I throw myself headlong into the next. Some day I'll learn to enjoy reaching the end of whatever it is I might be doing.

Saturday afternoon
Wendall feels it is important to have all of our errands done by noon. His friends know this, and start ringing the bell at 12:15. I don't offer lunch, though snacks are readily found. Dinner, however, is always large enough to share.

Sending aloha to Hilton
We went to Turtle Bay tonight to watch the sun set and to toss a lei into the surf for my father.
My brother spent a few minutes trying to set up the perfect shot. Sadly (for him) I managed to be in the best spot.
