Wendall left a few minutes ago to attend the welcoming ceremony for the first few hundred soldiers to come home from Iraq. They include our neighbors on either side. As I write, the traffic outside is increasing, and the lights on the airfield are being turned on. In just a few short moments, families will be made whole again.

A moving time. It was exactly one year plus six hours when these soldiers left for Iraq. And now some of them were back. It is wonderful to see the tears of joy in the eyes of both the soldiers and their families.
